How much will it cost?

Cost is dependent on the size of the project and how many panels are involved.

Who will install my system?

Typically a local electrician – Linkeight may be able to recommend based on location.

What does Linkeight cover?

System design and the quote and supply of hardware only. Installation charges are excluded.

What sort of savings can I make?

The return on investment for a solar kit is approximately 8% for the purchase. Long term (real) savings are dependent on the size of the system.

Is solar good for business?

Yes. The asset is depreciative and daytime hour business hours align well with peak generation times.

How many panels do I need?

It depends on your daytime load. For example a hot water cylinder is a 2kw load to offset this you would need a system size of approximately 2.5kw.

Can I add extra panels to my system later down the track?

Yes, based on the style of inverter we use (microinverter) these systems are 100% modular and expandable, but limited to your available roof area.

Will I need batteries?

It depends on your lifestyle/business needs. If you are at home /operating all day then you can take advantage of the solar generated and maximise your ROI. If you work during the day and the majority of your load is after sunshine hours then batteries would help maintain a reasonable ROI.
